The Haunted and Intimate World of Japanese Videogames 97-02 vol.1

The last few years of the 20th century were one of the peak periods in the evolution of consumer video game hardware. Many companies entered the videogame industry, and developed or published a number of oddities with unique designs and narratives. It is a golden age, similar to today's indie games market, but slightly different, with a psychedelic surface layers.  These age have a strange, frightening, yet friendly mood. There are texts about videogames of the times with nostalgia or melancholy, a reality only I got through playing the games, narrative times that cannot be shared.

This zine is a lead and pilot pages of the book,  Haunted And Intimate Japanese Videogames 97-02, which will be published in this summer.
